About Toolflow

Toolflow is a collection of small, single-purpose developer utilities that run entirely in the browser. Each one lives on its own page, does one job, and needs no account, no installation and no payment. The encoding tools cover the conversions that come up constantly while debugging. Base64 Encode turns ordinary text into Base64; Base64 Decode reverses it; and Base64 Image Decode takes a Base64 string and renders it back as an image, which is useful when a data URI has been pasted into a config file or an API response and you need to see what it actually contains. URL Encode and URL Decode handle percent-encoding for query strings and path segments. Encode HTML Entities and Decode HTML Entities convert between raw characters and their entity forms, which matters whenever untrusted text is about to be dropped into a template. The hashing tools are the MD5 Hash Generator and the SHA256 Hash Generator. Both take any string and return its digest, so a checksum quoted in a log or a manifest can be checked against the value you actually have. The UUID Generator produces random identifiers for test fixtures, database rows and message keys. The conversion tools are the Text to Binary Converter and the Text to Hexadecimal Converter, which render a string in either base, and the String Length Calculator, which counts the characters in a block of text without opening an editor. The site is built with Nuxt and Tailwind CSS and served over Cloudflare. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to configure: the tools are static pages that do their work in the browser, which means nothing typed into them is sent anywhere. It suits the quick one-off conversions that interrupt real work, where opening a search engine and trusting whichever ad-heavy page ranks first is the usual alternative.
