About allcredit.cards

allcredit.cards is the first complete, searchable database of credit cards in the United States. It covers every card issued by FDIC-insured banks and NCUA-insured credit unions — more than 8,500 cards from over 3,100 institutions — not just the twenty national issuers that mainstream comparison sites feature. The problem it solves is simple: most Americans never see the cheapest credit cards available to them. Sites like NerdWallet, Bankrate and WalletHub earn commissions when readers apply for cards, so they only list issuers that pay. Thousands of community banks and credit unions don't participate in affiliate programs, which means their cards — often with dramatically lower rates — are invisible online. In the allcredit.cards data, the median credit union card carries an 11.9% APR versus 17.7% at banks, and for secured cards used to rebuild credit the gap is 14% versus 27.5%. Nobody was publishing that. The database was built from the ground up: the FDIC and NCUA institution registries provided the list of issuers, and each card's terms were compiled from the issuer's own rate sheets and disclosure documents. Every card page shows the regular and introductory APR, annual and foreign transaction fees, rewards structure, sign-up bonus and eligibility requirements, along with the date the data was last verified and its source. Users can browse by state, by issuing institution, or by card type — secured, low-APR, cash back, travel, business, 0% intro APR — and compare all cards from a single bank or credit union side by side. Each institution also has a written guide, "Best credit card from [institution]", that walks through which card suits which
